Resource Desk Representative/Adoption Counselor

Resource Desk Volunteers are responsible for greeting members of the public as they enter the Shelter, providing information about the Shelter and its programs, accepting donations and giving tours to the public.

Adoption Counselors do everything that Resource Desk Volunteers do, but in addition work with potential adopters to match them with adoptable animals, take calls from the public about available animals, interview potential adopters and assist with applications.  Both positions help with copying, paperwork, filing and other administrative tasks as needed.

Shifts are available during the Shelter’s open hours.  Resource Desk Volunteers and Adoption Counselors must be 18 years old or older and able to commit to at least one 2 hour shift per week.
