We understand that not everyone can commit to a regular animal care or other volunteer shift every week, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help the Shelter animals! Weekly, we have situations where our animals need to get from one place to another. Whether they have a vet appointment, they’re going to the groomer, or we’re picking animals up from another shelter, we need reliable, safe drivers who are willing to get them where they need to go! Most trips are scheduled on weekdays.
Volunteer drivers must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Though the Shelter cannot reimburse you for gas, mileage can be considered a donation for tax purposes. For more information or to get started as a volunteer driver for the Shelter, please head over to our volunteer application!
