Weekly Update

12/10/16

Hi everyone!

Thank you to Kelly for going to the pet parade with Ashley!

Thank you to Barb and Cindy for going to and from Wareham spay day!

We’re looking for anyone out there who has some photography skills! We need someone able to come in once a week to take pictures of the cats and put them up on Petfinder.

We’re also looking for someone up for putting animals up on Adopt A Pet (1 hour once a week) from home.

We’re also looking for someone to come in on Monday mornings 9-10:30 am to answer voicemails and process applications.

ADOPTIONS!

Dogs:

Patches was officially adopted by her new family. She’s living in Weymouth with her mom & dad and is their only pet. They ADORE her!

Cats:

Frisco went home with a wonderful family from Scituate! He’s joining shelter alum, Madison, and 2 human siblings!

Figi headed home to Hingham! She’ll be her new dad’s only pet!

Vivian is on her way to Cotuit today! She’s got a new mom & dad and a feline sibling. We’re hoping the cats get along great!

Pandora was adopted by a family from Scituate today. She’ll be the only cat in the home for now but they’re hoping to add a playmate soon!

Intakes…

Cats –

Nala is a 6 yr old Maine Coon who was surrendered because the dogs in her home were not doing well with her. She is pretty stressed here at the shelter but her previous owners have nothing but wonderful things to say about her so we’re hopeful she’ll settle in soon!

Dogs

Schmeagle is a 13 yr old beagle that was transferred from an animal control facility. The owner could no longer care for the dog so we don’t know too much about him but he’s very sweet and he has some medical stuff going on so we’re getting all fixed up.

So… my last weekly update! Thank you all for everything over the last 7 yrs. It is such an honor to be part of such a wonderful organization. The amount of dedication, compassion and enthusiasm every one of you shows on a daily basis is really incredible. I have received such kind words from so many of you and I’m really humbled. This shelter is in the very capable hands of the best staff members ever, but I may be biased 🙂 I will be staying in touch for sure because I know that this place is going to continue to do really wonderful things and I wouldn’t miss that for the world.

That’s it for now! If I don’t see you, have a wonderful holiday season!

Pandora & Demita were surrendered to us due to situation beyond their owners’ control. Pandora is a 3 yr old, shorthaired tiger and Denita is a 10 yr old, longhaired tiger & white. Both seem very sweet and should have no problem finding new homes!

Sadie is a ridiculously sweet, 7 yr old declawed calico girl who was brought in because her mom was moving out of state.
