Maryann Regan joined SAS in 2016. Previously Director of Shelter Operations for the Animal Rescue League of Boston, she has a Masters Degree in Community Leadership from Duquesne University and also studied Non-Profit Management & Leadership at Boston University. Ashley Davis joined SAS in 2013. At Westfield State University, she double majored in Biology and Environmental Science, and her dedication to animal welfare led her to leadership volunteer positions at animal organizations as early as her high school years. Peter Zona is a Certified Public Accountant who has worked as the SAS bookkeeper since 2013 prior to his promotion to his current role in 2014. Previously a Canine Care Volunteer, his responsibilities include federal and state filings and the maintenance of all financial records.
Amanda Eddy Baker joined SAS in 2017, having previously served as a Canine Care Volunteer. A lifelong animal lover and graduate of University of Massachusetts at Boston, Amanda lives in Hull with her 3 dogs and one cat, all rescues, including two adopted from SAS.
Kelly Gibson joined SAS in May, 2019. Previously she worked at Strong Women, Strong Girls as a Mentor Coordinator and Site Leader where she helped better the lives of elementary school aged girls through community initiatives and by matching them up with volunteer mentors. Kelly received her Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Policy from American University.
Linda Saccone joined SAS in spring of 2019. A Cross Country Coach at Cohasset High School, she also works at Wishbones Pet Boutique in Scituate Harbor. She is the mother of three human children and one dog named Breton.
Janine Traft joined the Scituate Animal Shelter in the summer of 2018. She has a lifelong love of animals and extensive experience with both animal care and animal handling. Her past experience includes veterinary tech positions.
Lindsay Woods served as a Canine Care Volunteer at SAS prior to taking a break to start her family. She joined SAS in 2018. A lifelong animal lover, her passion is working with and trying to help harder-to-place animals. She resides locally with her family and rescue dog, Polo.
Jeanne Christo processes donations and manages the SAS database of donors, adopters and volunteers. She lives in Marshfield with three cats, including shelter alum Romeow.
Kim Donovan has been with SAS since 2014, helping with donor relations and writing acknowledge-ments to all of our generous donors. Kim lives in Marshfield with her husband and three dogs.
SAS is recruiting for a part time, non-exempt Canine Coordinator position. This person will be responsible for behaviorally evaluating shelter dogs, creating (positive reinforcement) training plans for dogs while they are at the shelter, and creating a plan to be relayed to the dog’s future adopters. Additionally, the individual will: establish enrichment and training plans for all dogs based on their individual needs; safely introduce shelter dogs to potential adopters and other dogs; aid with dog adoptions and potentially provide in-home visits prior to adoptions on a case by case basis; assist Shelter staff with other necessary tasks such as cleaning, bathing, medicating and other operational tasks.
