This contest asked for submissions of pet portraits in any medium, and was open to artists up to 18 years old.
The contest was judged by well-known animal portraitist Nate Nottingham. The subsequent exhibit was curated by art historian Gretchen Pingel, formerly of Sotheby's New York and currently a docent at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
